Meaning that no one knows you, and a special someone are dating. You wouldn’t be having an affair or anything like that. You are just keeping your relationship private in order to keep your names out of gossip

the pris r that you can do what you do and not have drama or like you said gossip also around friends you can act single and that is the best pro being able to pretend your single :p
the cons are that you might end up getting your friends to get you in a hook up or that people end up seeing you with the guy and then the gossip is worse
