F*ck Art: A Street Occupation at the Museum of Sex



In response to the growing anti-institution sentiment pervasive in our culture, the Museum of Sex has engaged a group of select street artist to occupy the museums third floor gallery. Expanding upon existing notions of the museum-going experience by pushing the boundaries of what artists create in a museum environment. Artist have mined the fringes of society and used the gallery space as a forum to create critical, provocative commentary around sexuality and its relationship to both human and cultural identity

The Sex Lives of Animals



This exhibition reveals sex is more than the drive to reproduce. The expanding knowledge of the natural world has revealed that animals participate in an astonishing array of sexual behaviors, where all conceivable sex acts and sexual partnerships exist. Animals engage in foreplay behaviors such as kissing, hugging, mutual and self-stimulation, oral sex and every kind of penetrative intercourse imaginable. Sex in the animal kingdom is just as complex and nuanced as it is for humans, and pleasure, it seems, is not restricted to the human realm.

I would say generally speaking, a junior would not be interested in a freshman guy. Women tend to mature a little faster and it does seem to come to a head in college. A girl who is a junior will already be thinking ahead to what she is going to do with her life and career.

A freshman guy, (or girl, a freshman is a freshman) is more interested overall in immersing himself in the party atmosphere of college, and finding balance between study/partying/working.

Granted, it isn’t fair because many upper classman men target the freshman girls to date and the freshman girls are flattered by that. But in reality, it typically doesn’t work both ways. The junior girl’s friends will make fun of her for dating a freshman, but a junior guy’s friends will high-five him for scoring a freshman girl.

There are always exceptions, so don’t give up.

For the approximately 30 million Americans missing all of their teeth, advances in dental technology has opened up a third option: implant-secured dentures. Dr. David Zelby, an Atlanta prosthodontist and dental implant specialist, discusses some of the issues associated with traditional dentures and talks about how implant-secured dentures are helping edentulous Americans take a bite out of life.

Living without teeth can have a profoundly negative impact on a persons quality of life. First, edentulous people have a restrictive diet, limited primarily to soft foods. These severe dietary restrictions result in poor nutrition which, in turn, leads to poor overall health. So serious is this problem, research indicates that people without teeth generally do not live as long as people with either natural or artificial teeth. Furthermore, toothless individuals tend to suffer from poor self-esteem. Without the support provided by the teeth, a persons lips and cheeks sink inward, causing them to look older and in poor health. A lack of confidence in their appearance prompts many edentulous Americans to avoid social situations, which further detracts from their quality of life.

While traditional dentures have helped people missing their natural teeth look better and live healthier lives for centuries, they do have a few significant drawbacks. For instance, dentures are held in place using suction and special adhesives. While suction generally holds a top denture in place very well, bottom dentures have a higher tendency to loosen and move while a person eats, talks, or laughs. Specially formulated denture adhesives can offer more support but prolonged use can cause sore spots on the gums. Finally, traditional dentures have to be readjusted, refitted, or replaced frequently. As Dr. Zelby, an Atlanta dentist with extensive training in dental prosthetics such as dentures, explains, As a patient ages, his or her gum ridges and jawbone shrink, causing dentures to loosen and require readjustment or replacement.

For years, prosthodontists have used crown-capped dental implants to help patients in need of a single tooth replacement. However, many people have no idea that a skilled dental prosthetic specialist can use dental implants to secure a full set of dentures. Instead of resting on top of the gums, dental implants are literally implanted into the jaw bone and take the place of missing tooth roots. The bone tissue integrates with the biocompatible implant, providing an exceptionally stable base for a variety of dental prosthetics from a single crown to a full set of dentures. Dr. Zelby notes, By fixing a denture to series of implants, patients enjoy better security and avoid many of the problems associated with suction-secured dentures. Patients do not have to worry about their dentures sliding, slipping, clicking, or popping off entirely.

Implant-secured dentures look and function just like real teeth and most patients experience an immediate boost in self-confidence.

After a prosthodontist has placed the denture, a patient can literally walk out of the office and go eat a steak. People with implant-secured dentures can eat a full variety of foods without having to re-learn or practice eating.

Better hygiene, since food particles do not become trapped beneath implant-secured dentures.

No need for denture adhesives.

Improved bone health, since dental implants maintain bone density within the jaw.

but when his parents met me and he met mine, we got along great

well his mother still doesn’t like me(But she don’t like anyone her children get with unless SHE picks them out, she is a good mother and loves them very much, but just saying it’s not just me)

I think we got along because i’m very old fashioned in my way of thinking, and many black youth nowadays lost this, so his family(african) were surprised at how i was very respectful to my elders(which was what i was taught to be anyway)

Come and practice life drawing with a casual group of artists. Our group varies in range of skill from firstimers, hobbyists, students, to seasoned working professionals. We meet at the North Park Recreation Center every Thursday from 10am to 1pm and Saturday mornings from 9am to 12noon to practice figure drawing with a live model.

Everyone is welcome, but you must be 18 years of age or older. This is an open studio drawing/painting group, so there is no instructor, no assignements, no homework or grades. Just practice at your own pace. No photography of the model is allowed, not even from your cell phone. You must bring your own art supplies and easel. We provide tables and chairs, but space is limited so it is first come first serve. If painting with oils, "Gamsol" or odorless Turpenoid are recommended.

We draw/paint in 20 minute intervals with breaks in between for the model; starting with 2 minutes gesture poses (10 poses); then a pair of 5 minute poses and a 10 minute pose; rounding off the rest of the session with 20 minute poses until the scheduled end time. However, the last Thursday and Saturday of every month is 20 minutes of gestures followed by a single long pose for the rest of the morning (broken down into 20 minute intervals to give the model a break).

The North Park Recreation Center is located at 4044 Idaho St, between El Cajon and University Avenue and parking is free. But it cost even to attend. This is CASH ONLY, NO CHECKS, NO CREDIT OR DEBT CARDS. Please try and bring even change for speed and convenience.

Saypage Reveals WebRTC Will Be at the Heart of Its Online Communication Platform Launching Next Week

Saypage is a service set to launch on 29 January 2013 that offers a new way for people to bill their time by enabling paid-for meetings to take place within ordinary web browsers and smartphone apps. With WebRTC on the server as well as the client, Saypage meetings can be recorded and played back at a later date. The Saypage server also allows for the mixing of calls in group conferencing, and with additional HTML5 and WebRTC-based features, including virtual whiteboard and screen and media sharing, Saypage meetings offer the richest browser-based collaborative experience on the web today.

Saypage sessions are completely secure and a sophisticated appointment scheduling and reminders is also in place to make the arranging and attendance of online meetings as seamless as possible.

Whilst Saypage relies on native code within its mobile apps for meetings functionality today, WebRTC offers the opportunity for future alternative services that work within mobile browsers. The jury is still out on whether HTML5 browser-based services or apps will win the day, however one thing is for sure and that is that WebRTC represents the future of voice and video telephony services on the web.

Author Lewis discusses the evils instigated by this societal cancer which brings about suffering and destruction to families. My Time Treating Incest Families raises the awareness of the prevalence and consequences of child abuse in the hope that this problem will eventually come to an end.

Jane Marchand Lewis BA in Psychologyin 1954 prepared her for marriage and a family but little more. Before marriage, she was a Social Worker in Santa Cruz administering Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC). In the mid-60s, she administered AFDC for Santa Clara County. In the early 70s, she went to San Jose State University for an elementary school credential. She began her two-year masters program in Marriage and Family Counseling at the University of Santa Clara in 1975. She stayed in San Jose for 17 years as a staff counselor until she went into private practice.

I have just received an invitation from Staffordshire University for an interview. I’ve requested an alternative date as I can’t attend on the day they’ve given. But, do I have to attend the interview even though it isn’t my firm choice? How if I don’t attend but it is my insurance choice, will they still offer me a place?

Well you should probably still go. What if you don’t get a place for your firm course? Plus it would give you practice at interviews. If you skip the interview then you lose your chance of an offer.
